Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of YourDirect.link(the “Service”), operated by YourDirect (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What we do

YourDirect is a smart-link redirection service. You create short URLs (yourdirect.link/<your-slug>or, on a paid plan, your own custom domain) that redirect visitors to a destination you choose. When a visitor is inside an in-app browser (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), the Service can detect the context and try to open the destination in the visitor’s default browser so links work reliably across platforms.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You agree to provide a valid email address and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• distribute malware, phishing, or fraudulent content;
• infringe intellectual-property rights or pass off another person’s identity;
• harass, threaten, or facilitate violence against any person or group;
• promote content that sexually exploits or endangers minors (zero tolerance — accounts will be terminated and reported);
• circumvent rate limits, scrape the Service, or interfere with its operation;
• violate applicable laws, including export-control, sanctions, and data-protection laws;
• resell the Service or its analytics data without our written permission.

Adult content from creators of legal age is permitted on landing pages and link destinations when properly age-gated (we provide an “adult warning gate” toggle per link) and lawful in your jurisdiction. Promoting or distributing content that is illegal anywhere in the world is not.

4. Your content

You retain full ownership of the URLs, landing-page text, photos, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, cache, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we will not sell it or use it for advertising.

5. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects payment, charges applicable taxes, and issues invoices. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not refund partial periods. If a payment fails we will retry and may downgrade you to the free plan if the failure persists.

6. Custom domains

When you attach a custom domain, you certify that you own or are authorised to use it. We provision TLS certificates and DNS configuration through Vercel. You remain responsible for keeping your DNS records valid; if they break, your custom links will stop resolving and we may detach the domain after a reasonable grace period.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided “as is” without uptime guarantees on the free or self-serve paid plans. Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled incidents will happen.

8. Intellectual property

The YourDirect name, logo, marketing copy, software, and visual design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce them without our written permission. Open-source components we use are governed by their respective licences.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (with immediate effect for severe violations such as illegal content), or with reasonable notice otherwise. On termination, your links stop resolving and Your Content may be deleted after a grace period.

10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which YourDirect is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
